Kihelkonna Curch was built in the 13th century, situated 32 km from Kuressaare. The steeple originates from the 19th century. The renaissance altarpiece and the pulpit which is the oldest one in Saaremaa originate from the 16th century. The separately standing bell-tower, which is the only one in the Baltic states, was built in the 17th century.
